Shane is a Partner at Allion Partners. He has over 25 years of experience as a lawyer in private practice and as a business executive working with Boards and senior management in the resources industry. He has held roles across Legal, HR, Safety, Commercial and External Affairs with organisations such as BHP and Downer and as a lawyer with Herbert Smith Freehills.
Shane is recognised in Doyle’s Guide 2018 of leading lawyers. His team provides strategic advice and manage disputes and litigation for open cut and underground mining clients, both contractors and owners, juniors and majors including greenfield and brownfield expansions.
He designed and teaches a unit at Murdoch University called Legal Strategy in Organisations. Shane is a regular speaker in post graduate programs at the Governance Institute of Australia and acts as the Coroner for Curtin University in the Coroners’ Court Mock program.
Shane is on the Board of Crime Stoppers WA and the Australian Association for International Business. He works closely with the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies’ (AMEC) and is on the Health and Safety Law Review Committee.
Shane is the co-author of a book on the management of Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) operations. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources Management) and a Juris Doctor in Law.
